INBA/PNBA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Last week I had the privilege of travelling out to Bucharest, Romania with Team UK for the INBA/PNBA World Championships.

My third overseas trip with Lee, Amy, Mark & Team UK, and must say, was my favourite experience to date.

My week began with business as usual Mon-Tue-Wed training my 3 regular days, with a low volume, keeping intensity just below normal to allow recovery, steps were at 15k & food was the same as it has been.

Thursday we flew out with the team, and settled into the hotel before we met on friday for registration, tanning & the final gym session (light) of the contest prep.

The day itself was incredible, a very well run show, with an incredible standard of competitor throughout all the classes. Team UK rallying together to give support from start to finish & a very successful haul of silverware to end a day we will never forget.

I ended my season with a 3rd place finish at the Worlds in the Pro class, in my best ever shape, slightly sharper and fuller than the UK show 2 weeks previous. Although content with my placing and the fact I was my best eve... so very hungry to do this offseason RIGHT and progress like never before. I want that Olympia title, and I know I have A LOT of work to do if I ever have a chance of achieving it.

After the show, spending time with my amazing team will be an absolute highlight, some amazing friendships created and memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

Sunday I was up early to train legs, as travelling most of Monday. Then the day was spent exploring, with no "rules" in regards to food, just enjoy the day and live in the moment.

Monday we are straight to work, and in the next blog entry I will outline my exact goals & the changes I have made to the plan, with the goal of improving quicker than EVER BEFORE.
